I have had nothing but the best experience with Microsoft Edge overall. The browser provides a seamless surfing experience and is quick and easy to use.

Pros

Microsoft Edge provides a seamless browsing experience with its sleek and modern design, greater privacy protections, and increased speed.

Cons

When compared to other browsers, Microsoft Edge's limited extension support is one feature that I found least appealing. Although it has become better over time, users who primarily rely on browser extensions for their workflow may find it disadvantageous as there are still fewer options accessible.

Pros

I started using Microsoft edge because my friend who is in cybersecurity told me it is much better than chrome when it comes to privacy. and I believe it indeed is better. It also uses less data and better for the performance of the computer.

Cons

the searching is not as easy as in chrome. Also, there ae lots of extensions available for chrome like blocking specific websites or add ons for finding coupons and discounts which are not available on edge

I don't usually use Microsoft Edge for my daily browsing. I mainly use it to modify PDF files that you can't modify in other browsers, only with apps.

Pros

I like that Microsoft Edge has AI features integrated in the app, and that you can also modify PDF files with basic features.

Cons

I don't like the fact that you cannot uninstall this browser on Windows devices. Also that it takes every single open tab as a different app (when you hit Alt+Tab).

Pros

I like how updated it feels compared to other browsers I have used in the past.

Cons

I feel like the update had a few glitches when changing browsers but they were fixed easily.

The tying in of Microsoft edge to windows, Copilot, and other Microsoft products has led to bloat that is unnecessary.

Overall Microsoft Edge has a lot of pretty cool gadgets to customize your browsing how you like. There is nothing I can complain about since switching over from Chrome. Once you use it for a few days you will love!!

Pros

What I like the most about Microsoft Edge is similar to chrome and you can customize your tabs down the side of your screen instead of at the top and also put your tabs in groups also LOVE the Read Aloud option.

Cons

Nothing I really dislike about Microsoft edge. Nothing I have seen so far from switching from Chrome.

Overall i’m very happy with this browser. I use it on work and personal laptops.

Pros

I was using Chrome for a long time. Then it started crashing and became too heavy. I tried Edge - and since then i’ve been using it. Edge is a better version of Chrome. No background processing like it is in Chrome, thus saving so much of processing power.

Cons

Sometimes Edge also becomes overwhelmed with load, but restarting it helps a lot to fix the issue.

Edge is underrated and deserves all the appreciation

Reviewed on 29/04/2024

Pros

I first used microsoft edge about 3 years ago when it replaced the old internet explorer which is infamous for having some serious problems. I was always a Chrome user and out of the blue, I decided to give it a try to Microsoft Edge. To my surprise, it genuinely outperformed Chrome in every single way using less resources and battery overall. That still holds true to this day. I use my laptop quite often to get my work done and I don't always have power outlet near my place so it is very crucial to use a browser that isn't power hungry. Chrome in comparison used way more power and ram astronomically high resulting in poor battery life. I also encountered a variety of bugs and errors on Chrome which is frustrating. Features on Edge are useful and unique and I regularly use it. I would recommend everyone to use Edge as it is really underrated.

Cons

Frankly, I don't have any bad experience with this lovely browser. Maybe, there were a handful of instances but I didn't really notice them. I would say the browser is speedy and don't get laggy.

Pros

The best thing about Microsoft Edge is that it is very nicely integrated with other Microsoft products. This makes it very easy for my day-to-day work.

Cons

My new default browser after a long time

Reviewed on 25/04/2024

Pros

After the new redesign, it became very fast. I can easily have over 20 tabs opened at the same time, I can also group them in the tab bar. The best thing in a browser is also the possibility of re-opening tabs if there is a crash, and Edge is very good at recovering. Also, the new Copilot right bar is something I am using a lot.

Cons

Some tabs consume a lot of memory, so I had to upgrade RAM to 32GB overall in my PC. The Copilot bar must be updated, it is limited to 4000 chars and does not always access the full content, specially in pdf files opened in the browser.

It was pre-installed in my HP laptop that I have from 2016 and this was my first chance to use the Microsoft Edge browser.

I like the security that provides to me.

The best browser in all aspects.

Cons

I didn't like the search engine of the browser, I always use altenative options.
Otherwise I cannot find something else negative until now.

The best Chromium browser out there

Reviewed on 15/12/2023

Pros

So many features make Edge an easy choice over Chrome, logging in with your MS Account for one, makes it so easy to switch between different account when managing different Tenancies. The memory usage is a fraction of that used by its competitors and the many features such as Co-Pilot make it an easy choice of which is my default or only browser these days

Cons

Privacy tracking data could and should always be improved in all browsers. In this day and age, being concerned about your data privacy should not be something we have to worry about. Edge should take the lead on this

Microsoft Edge - Easy to Use, but kind of Useless

Simple interface but can be overwhelming initially. Lack of extensions, but still seems to have compatibility issues with some websites, may be a deal breaker for you. TBH most of us are going to stick with what we have, but if you want to try Bing AI they're holding it hostage. You are required to use Edge to access it.

Pros

I'm on a Mac, so dont get Edge as the default browser. I downloaded it because they wont let you use Bing AI otherwise. I use ChatGPT, You Ai, Perplexity, Claude, Bard, and Playground all day, every day. Bing is actually much more succinct than the other tools, has updated search results, unlike ChatG, and can display tables. Since I haven't added many extensions, search results are clean and uncluttered. It's also pretty fast and has lots of ways to organize bookmarks, tabs, etc but I haven't used the features yet.

Cons

Too many options and quick links on the main page cause straight up chaos if you're doing research and need to get search results quickly. Edge also doesn't have as many extensions as Chrome, so you cant really customize it and expand its performance. This is a doubled edge sword, however, since extensions can create conflicts with certain sites and ruin the search experience. Also, it's apparently slower than other browsers but seems robust to me.
