Before Square I had sleepless nights, no time with my children, no me time and I was always worried that I was missing something pertaining to my business. When I was introduced to Square my life has forever changed. My smile returned and my children have their mom back!!
Pros
As a single mother of 5 I live a hectic and stressful life. With Square point of sale I can focus more on my family since I know I have a software that practically runs my business for me.
Cons
I have nothing negative to say except why wasn’t this software around a lot sooner.

Cons
At an event one time I couldn’t connect to internet and couldn’t make a purchase. Now I don’t know if that is Sqaure’s fault or the phone company but it was a bummer.

My overall experience has been great! I can write up an invoice in minutes with my saved items and I can collect a deposit in seconds with tap to pay or via emailing the customer. It’s a very easy process for the customer to pay when sent via email. I can schedule out when the final payment is due for a repair and it’s saved in their system if I ever need to look back at the invoice.
Pros
That you can use tap to pay, and the processing fees are fair.
Cons
There’s not much to dislike about square. Sometimes invoicing won’t have your description saved, but doesn’t happen often.

Such a simple and smart system to use. I love that you can tap a payment card on a terminal to bring up all previous transactions.
Cons

Overall experience with wonderful the price is exactly what you want is what you pay for. The prices are separated into separate sections like invoices appointments teams and you only pay for the ones you use. Overall it was a great experience I still use them.

I used Square as a POS in a few gift shops and many events. I love this interface for event transactions because you can easily categorize what you need and you have the ability to have portable POS options.
Pros
Very clean and aesthetic interface, POS additions were user friendly
Cons
Trying to navigate building a Square website is a doozy, and sometimes the help articles aren’t really helpful.

Square Point of Sale has been very easy to use, easy to integrate and wonderful for keeping track of day-to-day sales. Very low customer complaints, and no problems during in-person sales. Hand-held device is very convenient, easy to transport and take to different locations
Cons
Given the NYS laws, and how/what our orders are, we are not a fan of the $0.x cent charge per order- would be much easier to just have the flat percentage. Also given the nature of our business, would be helpful to have a straight charge, not different for "card present" or not.

We can implement this for the box office as well as the bar sales, while pulling live reports to see how inventory is moving and track sales trends throughout the event.
Pros
I like how intuitive it is for any new user. Having multiple screens easily navigable is helpful in high volume bar sales.
Cons
Setting up new items and inputting them into a proper category can be lengthy to keep them organized and not having too many "type" of items. If you do not do this process 100% in the first step then your inventory will get out of control very fast.

Pros
Square is very user friendly and simple to use. The fees for square are high per use than many other merchant devices but there are no other monthly/maintenance hidden fees so overall they tend to be cheaper especially for small businesses unless you're running several thousand dollars/month in credit cards

As a traveling vendor, I used a "knuckle buster" for years. Square POS saved me from carrying heavy equipment, trying to read illegible papers, and declined credit cards. It's a game changer for small businesses. And the fees were less, too.
Pros
The ease of use. Since I often travel to shows, I need to hire sales people at the event. Square is easy for me to teach and for them to learn to use.
Cons
The older slide thru card reader was sometimes awkward to use.

I like that I can customize my items and organize them by category on the main screen. I also like that it shows my inventory amounts and alerts me when we are low. I can do EVERYTHING on the home screen!
Cons
I was not happy with the process of adding inventory. I found it a little complicated. However, the how to instructions are super helpful!

What I like most about Square Point of Sale is how easy it is to navigate for new small business owners and sends you your daily business revenue at the end of each day.
Cons

I've been using square for over 9 years now and it's been great. Especially when I am traveling with my business, it's easy to accept payments through their system. It's important to have something reliable if my clients don't want to pay in cash or forget, I always have it in my back pocket as long as I have my phone.
Pros
I like that they added the option to use your own phone as the card reader and that you can make different menu options with different price points.
Cons
The older card readers are frustrating to have to charge but that issue doesn't come up very often.

I have a small business. I bought the square reader machine last year for around $50, in Feb 2023. After almost one year and a half, the machine does not charge and I have to keep it connected to electricity all the time. This will cost me more than its price, and if I buy it again, I will have to pay $65. It looks like I have to purchase it again, but not happy that the machine stops working properly in less than two years.
