It is my go-to platform to create, manage and share documents. Have been using it from the past 3+ years - highly recommend it over the Microsoft Word.
Pros
It is super duper user friendly, easy to integrate with other Google Apps/Productivity Tools, easy to share, store and manage.
Cons
Can be used online only. Need to add additional plugins for some basic features, like arrange bullet points in ascending order.

Definitely My Personal Favorite Google App

I really love and use Google Docs pretty much everyday, whether I find the need to do quick perusals in the stories I wrote or editing some documents which I can possibly do both online and offline. I really appreciate how I can definitely edit my documents offline and just have the changes applied once I am back online.
Pros
The first time I used this is back when I was a doing a paper with my classmates in my university and I appreciate how we simply don't need to justify our contributions because the history will simply show it. I appreciate it even more when I write my stories because I can even change the color of the paper that is said to help it easier to write even more. It is still my favorite Google App up to date and has never left my phone app list ever since.
Cons
There are honestly none because I truly love Google Docs and how convenient it is whether using it for personal purposes or even in professional matters. I love how it is pretty straight forward and you don't need to be tech-savvy to be able to use it.

Amazing that we have such tools at our disposal. We can work on almost anything, from anywhere, and collaborate with anyone in the world. Obviously Google did not invent this concept but they are the #1, the go-to. Its really revolutionizing the way we all work together.
Pros
Just the simple fact that we live in such a time where geography doesn't make much difference at all when it comes to collaboration and teamwork, is amazing. I find myself being a big perfectionist in judging Google Docs negatively, instead of simply appreciating that we even have such technology.
Cons
The loss of cross functionality between versions of MS Office and Google, whether it's documents or spreadsheets. It is admittedly pretty great for what it is, but it still isn't standardized enough, in my opinion. Downloading a doc/sheet created using google, into Office, often ends in file corruption.

My overall experience with Google Docs has been quite positive. I liked almost everything about it. The collaborative features make it easy to work on documents with others, and the ability to access and edit documents from any device is convenient. The wide range of formatting options and easy sharing capabilities are also big pluses.
Pros
I believe the most appealing aspect of Google Docs is its ease of collaboration. The ability to work on documents simultaneously with multiple users and see real-time changes is incredibly convenient and conducive to teamwork. Additionally, seamless integration with other Google services and cloud storage functionality are highly valuable.
Cons
I liked almost everything about Google Docs, but one thing that I found inconvenient was its limited offline functionality. While Google Docs does offer offline access, the functionality is not as robust as working online. It would be helpful to have more features available in the offline mode for times when an internet connection is not available.

Google Docs is the best document keeper and creator. It has made it so easy for me to share folders with clients and collab with them on their work - totally recommend.
Pros
It is so easy to share folders, whether that's adding others to it or sending people the link! I love how you can search the name of the doc on your search engine and it comes up! I think the best feature on google docs is how you can see real time updates from other people editing the document - it is so great for collaboration. And, I do not even need clients to turn in the documents to me - because I can see them! I also love how it saves all your changes live!
Cons
I have been using google docs forever and have no complaints.

Google Docs allows me to do so many things in an easy, collaborative fashion. It's hard to think of a time when I didn't use it, but I know that my organization, productivity, and collaboration have all improved in that time. Google has done a very nice job with this product, and they are always rolling out new features and quality-of-life improvements.
Pros
Every single thing about Google Docs is collaborative, and that is a must-have feature nowadays. All work is automatically saved, the revision history allows me to look back through every single keystroke, and there are so many collaborative features that allow me to work with colleagues in a variety of ways. All documents can easily be shared, copied, and modified in quick fashion. I honestly like everything about this product!
Cons
There isn't much to dislike here. If pressed, I guess that I would say that there could be more template options to work with, but that is a very minor complaint. Everything about this product seems well thought out.

It has made my work as a writer easier and safer. I can have everything in Drive and not be afraid of losing any data. It has the history of the changes I have made to each of the files. It keeps my comments and notes, too.
Pros
What I like the most is that the document auto-saves, and if anything happens to the computer or any device I am working on, the file will still be in the drive. I won't lose it.
Cons
There is one little thing I still don't know how to do, and it is to activate a dark mode in which the page turns black.

A brilliant piece of software that keeps getting better and better. At first I was mindful to make the change and was hesitant to use the software. Over time this has become a firm favourite and will likely continue to be for many years to come.
Pros
Google Docs delivers a great comprehensive package at zero cost. The ability for this software package to work easily across platforms and be so easy to use everyday has been a major plus and is why this is used on a regular basis to maximise output of my colleagues
Cons
There needs to be a tutorial package on the systems showing how to get the basics and most out of the system. For those who have used rival systems before it can take a while to adapt to the new system.

Again, made my life so so much better at work. I can't imagine a world without it now.
Pros
I think you probably have to live under a rock if you don't know the gist of how Google Docs works, but I love Google Docs and use it for everything at work. I work remotely and often need to have a number of staff work on numerous reports at once. Google Docs is seamless for collaboration, if someone messes up you can always go into the history and fix it, and sharing is easy. Additionally, the @ feature where you can assign a comment to a coworker is the best thing ever invented. Microsoft is trying to replicate, but their online sharing is such a mess compared to Google Docs, and their products are way too complex for the output they give you. I swear by Google Docs and Google Sheets at work.
Cons
The only thing Microsoft has over them is the spelling and grammar tool. Google's unfortunately is subpar at best. Whenever I need to do a grad school project, I literally type the whole thing in Docs and export it to Word just to make sure the spelling and grammar is up to par. I would love to not have to do that anymore, and I can tell they are working on it. Once they figure out how to improve that, Google Docs will be a perfect product.

Excellent tool for document sharing and/ or dynamic and secure collaboration.
Pros
The on-the-go collaborative features are easy to utilize. You can make sure the right people (access management) has the right access level (edit, comment, read-only) so they can meet the objectives. Not having to think "what is the right doc I should access?" is just great. There will be only one single document to access, and one single online version for everyone.
Cons
It might be a bit complex to structure the text/ tab/ formats. As a user, it may take a bit longer than with the traditional MS Word.

Google docs is a critical tool for company wide internal collaboration but the formatting is not powerful enough to contend with ClickUp or Notion.
Pros
Google docs is so easy to implement across a company because of the familiarity of the tool and also the company-wide access to google suite. The implementation is so easy and the cost, compared to other tools, is very affordable. The ability to make edits to be suggested is a strong feature and collaboration/commenting is powerful.
Cons
The formatting of Google is really falling behind platforms like Notion or ClickUp. With these modern doc tools you have the / button which pulls up an extensive list of commands making formatting incredibly easy. In addition, you can easily embed videos and other embeds into tools like Notion. I have found it very frustrating after becoming proficient on tools like ClickUp docs and Notion.
