Hub Planner is a cloud-based resource management and scheduling solution primarily for team-based business workforces, of any scale or industry. Users are able to customize their own Hub Planner deployment, paying only for the feature modules used around the solution’s main platform. Premium Hub Planner Extensions range from approval workflow, custom fields and smart groups to task management and task checklist creation. Hub Planner's core functionality is to assist with the management, control and overview of projects and resources within a single pane of glass. Supported by a natively optimized mobile app, Hub Planner requires no download to access through login on any browser or device, providing a five dashboard views. Widgets render rich data visualizations giving teams and managers visibility on project schedule progress, plus resource utilization and availability etc.
Resource management features include a drag and drop scheduling interface that indicates levels of availability status via dynamic heat maps. Unlimited teams of people, groups and departments can be defined with Hub Planner’s sidebar, with finding specific resources aided by skills and location matching logic. Time tracking is then performed using timesheets, which extends resource scheduling with the monitoring of actual time versus projected, forecasted time for costing purposes. Project budget planning with support for phase-based structuring and milestone creation is joined by real time budget tracking, portfolio overviews, notes and links. In addition, Hub Planner provides a dynamic report builder tool with customizable smart templates, Excel export and dashboard analytics.

Overall the product serve our needs for 4+ years. We have added new software in other areas as we have grown and needed better connectivity between systems than Hub Planner could provide.

Pros
The main reason we chose this platform over others is the ability to plan employee capacity into the future.
Cons
I don't like the project display system. I don't like that multiple projects can have the same name. I don't like that if a project is deleted all of that time entered goes with it and there is no record or notification. The dashboard isn't super usable

I appreciate that as of now that more administrative/management are benefiting than the resources. In fact, this is something that we want to concentrate on - benefiting the resources more.
I think utilizing the different project status options might help when looking to remove a project from live. For example assigning a finished project from Active to Archived etc. However I can see where improvements could be here with an extra reminder or note that if you delete you will lose all content.

I use hubplanner for staffing our consulting deliveries. It's the best tool in the market for the job I have come across.
Pros
Easy and intuitive to use, enables seeing all the experts and their availability with one glance, easy to integrate to other systems via the provided rest api, support hour rates, daily working hours, vacations, etc.
Cons
The product has a lot more features than I actually use. I mostly use the scheduling view and there the small bugs are perhaps the most significant annoyance to me. Still it's the best UI I've seen so far in this type of apps.

I had and continue to (on an ad hoc basis) have very positive dealings with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] (Irish) based in Sweden I believe.
Pros
As we reached a certain size, it was clear we required a resource management Tool. The IT PMO approached this as part of our annual 'Hack Day', we researched and trialled numerous offerings and ultimately settled on Hubplanner. We had it set up and active within a day. It also has significantly reduced the time and people involvement in our fortnightly resource planning sessions.
Cons
We really only use the Resource Management aspect of the software. There are numerous features thatw e already have a working solution in place for. A pro/rata rate for selecting only the services you need would be a great win.,
