> **Pros**: I am able to access Availity and find out the status of claims or check eligibility without having to go through the steps of calling in and waiting on hold.  This saves so much time on a daily basis.

> **Cons**: I can't look up a client by name and birth date without the insurance number.  This can pose a problem if numbers were inverted.  This is a small problem that is usually solved by bringing up the insurance card and double checking.
> 
> It is a delight to have this option rather than calling in and having to wait on hold for a quick question.

> **Pros**: Availity is my one stop location for 75% of the insurance companies I work with. It has the ability to search for claims, add practitioners to my existing networks, etc. It is great to have all of that in one place.

> **Cons**: Availity's interface and functionality requires a major learning curve. It is a difficult site to navigate. After using it for almost a year, I am learning more ways to navigate faster, however, I still find myself spending upwards of 5-10 minutes searching for specific things on the site and googling, using ChatGPT, etc. to figure it out. It adds more time to an already time consuming workload.

> **Pros**: I really appreciate Availity. Running a practice, it made life so much easier. Before we had to confirm client’s Insurance, worry about collections, remember to update insurance info with expiration dates and more when we used an older software. Availity cuts all of that out and allows you way more time to do other things instead of worry about every single detail about charging for sessions. Their customer service is also so great. We could contact them anytime and they would respond very quickly.

> **Cons**: They’re slightly expensive and take it out of the payments made to you so if you aren’t taking in a lot of money, it may not be your best bet.
