Notion
About Notion
Notion is a project and workflow management solution that helps businesses streamline operations related to goal setting, status tracking, lead management, and more on a centralized platform. It enables users to utilize the drag-and-drop interface to organize, rearrange, and develop ideas, thoughts or plans.
Notion allows businesses to build and maintain a knowledge base for multiple topics such as task instructions, coding guidelines, HR workflows, and more. With the built-in calendar and kanban boards, users can create roadmaps and monitor tasks based on completion status, category, priority, or assigned team members. In order to enhance collaboration, team members can add comments on tasks and projects in order to start discussions.
Notion comes with an application programming interface (API), which enables businesses to integrate the system with several third-party solutions including Slack, Figma, and InVision. It enables users to create to-do lists, prepare meeting notes, and set up weekly agendas on a unified platform.

Managed the Transitioning to Notion and It Improved Our Productivity

Notion helped us centralize project management, documentation, and knowledge base into a single place. Now we have a strong way of doing things and documenting the knowledge across teams.
Pros
Customizable databases and different views make it pretty easy to manage resources and documents. The new "projects" feature was something I had been looking forward to for months, and finally, we have it.
Cons
Some team members find it a bit difficult to start with. Getting the whole team to adapt using Notion took a while.
Reasons for Choosing Notion
Notion already had project management features. We moved all the projects from Asana to Notion and ended our Asana subscription.Switched From

I use Notion everywhere

I highly recommend Notion and do recommend Notion to colleagues. It's one software I see people adopt the easiest on a recommendation. I use it for daily for organizing my work load, client notes where appropriate, and action points. I use it for managing responsibilities at home too.
Pros
Notion makes organizing and note taking far easier than other current options. Being able to organize pages into databases and tables means I can manage my work load as a type of list with all the notes on each piece of work contained in a page tied to that list. The elements such as code blocks also make adding reference notes so much easier to come back to and use in future. It keeps me very organized. As a non-enterprise user the options are still endless and provides a good case to bring others on board as a collaborative tool - especially when it comes to sharing process documentation.
Cons
Unless it's changed, there were some promising options of integrating with mail calendars but it didn't look like this was suitable for work mail / Office 365.

Overall despite the odd glitch and bugginess Notion seems to function pretty well. It's good for collaboration between multiple business teams and contractors.
Pros
It's a useful tool for collaboration and information sharing. It makes freelance project work quick, easy, and organized.
Cons
I've heard horror stories about issues with billing and nationality-based discrimination and while I haven't experienced those issues myself, it's enough to have tarnished their reputation and put me off of upgrading or giving more business to Notion.

Notion is my go to place whenever I feel like I want to create a list or Personal Development plan. It is Cozy and familiar, and an overall good experience.
Pros
Notion is sleek and feels like an intimate place to create my own content alongside of the piece of knowledge that the company has to offer.
Cons
Searching function at Notion is poor. I can't remember the amount of times that I had the correct key words but it would not give me the card I was looking for. Eventually you learn ways around, but it can be detrimental depending how much time one has.
