> I would describe my overall experience as a win. Thunderbird is endorsed by software blogs and magazines that are trustworthy. It's practical and better than Outlook. Managing all components of email is much more efficient. 
Thunderbird is independent from Mozilla now. I wonder why Mozilla chose to drop it, I would rather they hadn't. I trust and use Mozilla Firefox because of the high security. 
When making a decision it's important to remember that Thunderbird is only an email client, it is not webmail.
