Pros
We're only a small and very new drone company and were actually only initially just looking for option to create and monitor logs for pilot(s), batteries, maintenance etc but came across Dronedesk whilst searching online.
As an all -in-one solution to build our client database, monitor projects / jobs, create pre-flight checklists / reports, maintain logs etc it's a fantastic system and improving all the time!
The fact that we can now auto-import logs from Airdata saves so much work and us such a valuable addition.
Totally recommend trying out Dronedesk if you're looking for a way to tidy up your drone operations systems
Cons
A few things didn't work as expected initially but it's getting better all the time.

We're still in public beta at the moment so there are inevitably a couple of features that we're still tinkering with. Thanks for your patience and I hope you're pleased with how responsive we are to support requests.

None that affected my planning. The administrators are very open to new ideas and are great at responding

Pros
You have most things you want in one place with flight data integrated, assets listed and easy to navigate to, leads to find and contact
Cons
leads credits, you should be able to do this for free as the information being pulled is on Google

Hi Ashley, thank you for your review.
I'd love to be able to provide the lead generation facility for free because I think it's a great tool to help you very quickly build a list of potential leads.
Unfortunately Google charge us for calls to their API and the charge we make for credits allows us to just about recoup that cost.
The big advantage over just trawling Google yourself to find leads though, is the massive amount of time you save - it'll generate a list of 60 leads in just a couple of minutes. And that buys you much more time to focus on converting those leads into clients!

Pros
Collates lots of information that normally need collecting from disparate sources, and the continuing updates and responsiveness to feedback its refreshing to see.
Cons
Sometimes not the most intuitive layout, especially when setting up a brand new job, could flow more. Also, initial setup is time consuming and risk assessment doesnt fit my layout (customised columns and rows would be great) or a pre done full ra.

You're right of course, the initial setup of Dronedesk does take a bit of effort in terms of importing your data and getting your checklists and default risk assessments set up.
But once that's done, it will save you a huge amount of time in the long run.
The risk assessments are deliberately aligned with the CAA specification to help users maintain compliance in the event of an audit.
Whilst you can't alter the columns, you do have the choice of a standard RA or an OSC format. You can also set up a default for each to re-use as a starting point on all jobs - just head to "Profile > Settings > Risk Assessment".

Flight planning is so easy. The populated maps and local flight data are brilliant and save so much time researching
