It allows us to search with advanced and improved filters (and prevents us from having to know how to use Booleans), it also allows us to track candidates and published notices, with an organization similar to a simple ATS, together with InMail messages (limited) and with much less hassle to find and add new contacts. This makes the job of recruiters much easier by taking much more advantage of what the network has to offer and reaching more and better candidates in less time. > > **Cons**: I think the title says a lot: these advanced functions included in the package called "Recruiter" is very expensive for a freelancer or a self-employed worker, even for SMEs, and in return offers improvements, but they are not congruent with its high price. For example we have a limited amount of InMail messages (30 in Recruiter Lite). An active recruiter can spend these credits in 2 or 3 working days very easily. The other features that it offers helps, but if you already have a large network and you know how to use LinkedIn in an advanced way, it is not so much the difference is little and the money is a lot. Recommendations based on current search are relevant and useful. Integration with our CRM system (Workable) is good, meaning I can see when someone has already applied to a position within our company and what the outcome of that was, for example. Can send mass emails from within the app but with simple ways to 'personalise' them. Simple to get through a lot of people, quickly. Get your search narrowed down and then you can click to the right to just go through each (this cannot be done in Seek, for example). Lots of options of where to shortlist people (pipeline), not just 'shortlist' but different categories of that, for example 'Future Prospect', 'Do not contact' etc. Makes it very easy to organise how you'd like to. Messages sent when a shortlisted person becomes available for work, very handy to catch people quickly when they are actively looking. > > **Cons**: LinkedIn still has less people utilising it than Seek, so narrower range of people you can access. The AI automated email, when contacting candidates, is a little obtrusive. It may be good but I prefer to send my own messages, and you have to be very careful that a) it is YOUR message that you are sending, and b) that it has gone to all the people and not just one. I made errors in both at some stage and although careful now, I can see why those errors occurred. Not super clear and can be an issue for recruiters in a rush. > > Me, and my colleagues, love using LinkedIn Recruiter. It is very easy to use, simply laid out, and convenient.
