It has clearly been designed by someone who understands how saunas actually run day-to-day, which makes a huge difference. The platform includes the features you need without feeling overly complicated, and the whole experience is intuitive, well designed, and easy to use, with great reporting. The customer journey is much smoother than something like Acuity, especially for a sauna business where sessions, capacity, memberships, check-ins, and operational details all matter. It feels specific to Glasgow Community Sauna's needs rather than a generic booking system that has been adapted to fit or no longer gets feature updates. Support has also been excellent, as are the docs to go with it. Any time we have had a question or issue, Wil has been incredibly responsive. Bugs are dealt with quickly, and (sensible) feature requests are often added within days where possible. It genuinely feels like the product is being improved in partnership with the people using it. Overall, I can't fault Session. It has made our booking process clearer, easier, and much more streamlined. > > **Cons**: There's very little I can list as a negative. As with any newer or fast-moving platform, there have been the occasional small thing to refine or adjust, but these have always been handled very quickly. Because it's so tailored and continually being developed, there are moments where we spot new things we would like added as we use it more. Wil who created Session is super quick to respond to enquiries and to give advice on set up and any teething problems that users might have. Session is a really streamlined platform for sauna owners / operators and makes scheduling sessions the work on half an hour, when it used to take half a day. Repeating schedules are one of my favourite features, making it so easy to set your hours for a specified period of time, save and you're done. There is also the flexibility to add special one-offs. Session has reduced my administrative workload by allowing customers to book private sessions directly from the website (as opposed to coming through me) and closing all other sessions off when this happens. The inclusion of waiting lists is also really great and gives customers much more autonomy. Once we found it, we honestly haven't looked at another system since. Our location and setup are a little unique, so the support we've received has been incredible. Wil has been extremely supportive, responsive and willing to make changes to accommodate our setup, particularly given that we are based in Australia and have some requirements that may be different from the typical sauna business. Our customers consistently comment on how easy Session is to use, and the booking interface is visually appealing and feels professional. I also love that customers don't need to download an app or create another account on their phone — they can book easily from any browser or device. For us, that's a big advantage. The biggest benefit for me personally is the peace of mind. Knowing that Session is managing our bookings 24/7 while I can focus on actually running the business has been fantastic. As a new business owner, that has taken a lot of the stress out of managing bookings and gives me confidence that customers can book without needing us to be available. There are a few things I'd love to see developed further. Customer management could be improved, particularly the ability to merge customer profiles when someone accidentally enters a different email address. I'd also love a field when someone books a private sauna session where they can enter the names of the other guests attending. The waiver integration is another area I'd like to see improved. Ideally, the system would recognise when a customer has already signed the current waiver version and wouldn't ask them to re-sign unnecessarily. It would also be great to have a simple "no-show" option as part of the check-in process. Occasionally, changes made to bookings can also take a little while to appear, sometimes requiring a page refresh, but these are relatively minor issues compared with the overall experience. For us, Session has been a great fit from day one. It feels like a system that is continuing to evolve alongside the needs of sauna businesses, and having direct, responsive support when we need it has been a real bonus. It took a little time to teach myself how to set everything up, but once I got through the discovery and learning period, Session has been wonderfully easy to use. What I also like is that Session doesn't take a fixed fee, but 0.5% with a monthly cap.
