It also replaces several subscriptions at once. A site builder, an email platform, a booking tool, and a store usually mean separate bills and multiple disconnected datasets. Here, a reader who comments, subscribes, and buys is one person rather than three records on three different platforms.

You pay when you publish, not while you are still choosing fonts. Build the site for free, keep up to three unpublished sites, and start a plan when you are ready for your work to be public.

Isolation is the default rather than a setting. Every site resolves by hostname with its own session and its own database scope. Cardel operators start as readers on your site, and elevated access requires an attested, audited, time-limited grant.

Accessibility comes without extra work. Public pages are built to WCAG 2.2 AA, so keyboard and screen reader visitors are covered by default instead of by a plugin you have to remember to configure.

You don't pay until you publish. Create an account and build your site for free. Keep up to three unpublished sites, then subscribe to a plan for the applicable site when you're ready to publish. A paid plan is required to publish the site and to connect your own domain.

Every plan includes the same foundation: a custom domain with HTTPS, Editor Mode for editing your live site, themes, fonts, and a brand kit generated from your logo, a blog with scheduled posts and reader comments, a video catalog, SEO and an automatic sitemap, WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility on public pages, audience contacts with groups, tags, and import, email templates and sending on your own domain, unlimited transactional email, bulk email workflows, built-in chat with a unified Messaging Center, and the AI features (Theme Suggest, Email Template Builder, suggested replies, and the Assistant).

Higher plans raise the contact, email, page, and admin limits, and add campaign workflows, card payments and order fulfillment on shop pages, scheduling and bookings, and per-admin permissions. Business adds priority support.

Selling with Stripe on shop pages carries a 0.5% Cardel fee on card sales; Stripe's processing fees apply separately and you keep the rest.
